Bentleymotors.com - Bentley's
new website
Crewe, 31 March 2003: Bentley Motors is proud
to announce the launch of Bentleymotors.com, its
new on-line facility for everything any customer
or Bentley enthusiast may want to know about the
marque.
For the sake of convenience, the address of the
site - www.bentleymotors.com - remains the same
as its forebear but in all other respects, the
facility is entirely new.
Those who visit the site will find information
on all areas of the company. There are details
of the marque, its product, its activities on
both road and track as well as specialist services
like Bentley Mulliner, the company's bespoke personal
commissioning department and a catalogue of top
quality Bentley branded accessories. There is
even a section for those looking for a pre-owned
Bentley. News will be kept up to the minute in
all areas of activity and will be supported by
high quality photography wherever appropriate
and possible.
The site has been designed to a Bentley brief
by on-line experts Good Technology an award winning
digital services agency. Designed to be both stylish
and easy to navigate, the site now fully reflects
Bentley brand values and has evolved significantly,
recognising not simply the illustrious past of
the marque but also its dynamic and exciting future.
To that end, the site has been designed specifically
to appeal as much to the new generation of Bentley
customers who have been ordering the new Continental
GT in their thousands as to the more traditional
Bentley driver whose on-line needs have also been
fully accommodated.
The site uses the very latest technology to present
its information as logically, swiftly and conveniently
as possible. It uses Flash with xml files to provide
information initially in four languages - English,
French, German and Spanish and has been configured
to ensure that the design of the site is in no
way compromised by the inevitably differing text
lengths each language will produce. Japanese is
to follow in June.
With bentleymotors.com, Bentley has ensured its
on-line resource possesses the same standard of
cutting edge technology, style and ease of use
as the cars it is now creating.
